Back in April the day I first planted out the patch was my birthday. As a special gift from my friends Isa & Gus I received a beautiful dwarf citrus tree to incorporate into my backyard experiment. I have since picked the larger ‘mutant’ lemon you see here in the photograph (amazingly juicy & flavoursome), which has now transferred the growing energy to the top half of the tree. Fast forward to today, I now have a tree full of steadily growing fruits in preparation for my dream of fresh homemade lemonades this coming summer!
